As a SharePoint Sr Consultant at Microsoft, you are a part of the sharpest minds working on SharePoint. Your role is to support customers with your expertise, either as an advisor, reviewer or as an invaluable resource in their projects.
As a consultant you work close together with the other roles at Microsoft Consulting Services such as Service Sales Managers and Service Line Architects to support on sales opportunities. At customer engagements you work closely with Engagement Managers to ensure customer satisfaction and overall quality of the delivery.
The Consultant in Enterprise Services delivers technical solutions to customers allowing them to maximize their investment in Microsoft technology. Building upon solid IT project experience relative to their level, these consultants will work with Microsoft's partners to assist customers in:
The delivery of high quality engagements around Microsoft's solution areas, technologies and products in diverse client environments, particularly in the areas of SharePoint product.
Stabilizing developed solutions using Microsoft methodologies in complex customer environments.
The design and development of integrated solutions using the latest Microsoft products and technologies.
Understanding the relevant application development, infrastructure and operations implications of the developed solution.

-Product & Technology Expertise : Microsoft SharePoint products (all versions), including MS SharePoint Server 2010 and MS Project Consulting delivery in various types of engagements:
- SharePoint migration projects
- SharePoint platform architecture design
- SharePoint customization and extensions
- Advisory Services and knowledge transfer on difficult architectural and technical challenges
- Reviews and Quality Assurance
- Support Product Sales with proof-of-concepts and product demonstrations
- Sharing of your expertise internally and externally at conferences and seminars
- Delivery of standard Microsoft Consulting Services offerings (such as Platform Services, Enterprise Portals and Social Computing for Microsoft® SharePoint® Server 2010)
- Language and Tools : Visual C++/C#, Visual Basic, ASP, VBScript, DHTML, XML/XSL, etc.
- Others : Content Management, Document Management, Win32 services and applications, etc
Training and Certifications:
-Must have a degree in Computer Science or Engineering, or equivalent work experience.
-At least 5 - 8 years related IT experience.
-Work experience should involve technical consulting, development, and deployment, particularly in SharePoint products.
-Must have a proven record of delivering business value.

-Candidates must have a deep understanding of markets, customers, and technology; have the background to provide leadership in the practice and a demonstrated effectiveness in consulting and client management.
-Candidates must have deep understanding of customer and partner business and IT environment, and have demonstrated skills creating architecture and deploying technology to solve business problems.
-Candidates must have industry leading depth knowledge of subject area, and have demonstrated analysis and communication skills connecting technology and business problems, e.g. SharePoint.
